Data Governance & Security

Privacy Policy

Effective Date: October 2026. This comprehensive Privacy Policy outlines the standards by which EquestrianPedia collects, processes, and safeguards information in accordance with global data protection laws.

1. Client-Side Biometric Data Isolation

At EquestrianPedia, we believe that sensitive animal biometric data, breeding dates, boarding expenses, and vital sign chronometry belong strictly to the horse owner and caregiver. All computational utilities hosted across our website—including the Horse Weight Calculator, Mare Gestation Tracker, Equine Feed Ration Planner, and Colic Vital Sign Triage Console—execute strictly inside your web browser’s local JavaScript sandbox (React 19).

Your input values (such as heart girth in inches, body length, rectal temperatures, pulse chronometer readings, and ration budgets) are never transmitted to, logged in, stored by, or analyzed on remote external database servers. Once you close or refresh your browser tab, ephemeral calculation states are cleared immediately.

2. Standard Log Files & Technical Metrics

Like virtually all web properties delivered via global Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), EquestrianPedia follows a standard procedure of utilizing server log files. The information collected by log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These technical data points are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The sole purpose of this information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users' movement around the website, and gathering aggregate demographic data to ensure server stability.

3. Cookies, Web Beacons & Google AdSense Partner Standards

EquestrianPedia uses "cookies" to store information regarding visitors' preferences, user-specific information on which pages the user accesses or visits, and to customize web page content based on visitors' browser type or other information that the visitor sends via their browser.

Google DoubleClick DART Cookies & Third-Party Ad Networks

Google is a third-party vendor on our site. It also uses cookies, known as DART cookies, to serve ads to our site visitors based upon their visit to www.equestrianpedia.com and other sites on the internet.

However, visitors may choose to decline the use of DART cookies by visiting the Google ad and content network Privacy Policy at the following URL: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technologies like cookies, JavaScript, or Web Beacons that are used in their respective advertisements and links that appear on EquestrianPedia, which are sent directly to users' browsers. They automatically receive your IP address when this occurs. These technologies are used to measure the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns and/or to personalize the advertising content that you see on websites that you visit. Note that EquestrianPedia has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party advertisers.
